Motivate Your Volunteers!

County Monaghan Partnership is delighted to welcome you to the new web page for its recently developed Volunteer Bureau.

County Monaghan Partnership Volunteer Bureau facilitates volunteering in County Monaghan by putting people who want to volunteer in touch with groups which require volunteers. The Volunteer Bureau aims to achieve a ‘win win’ outcome for both parties. Groups get the extra help they need, and volunteers get the opportunity to provide this help.

Volunteers
Through the Volunteer Bureau, individuals can find out about volunteering opportunities and will be supported in finding appropriate and fulfilling volunteering roles.

County Monaghan Partnership Volunteer Bureau offers support to those who wish to volunteer by

  • Providing impartial advice and guidance
  • Maintaining an up to date database of volunteering opportunities
  • Meeting with all those who wish to volunteer

Community & Voluntary Groups
The Volunteer Bureau will offer support to community and voluntary groups and help them build their future capacity through the recruitment, management and retention of suitable volunteers. Additional volunteers could allow groups to undertake a wider range of activities and will help ensure that existing volunteers are not too heavily relied on. The inclusion of new volunteers will bring new ideas and talents to groups, through them groups will have a wider reaching impact in their communities.

The Volunteer Bureau will provide the following benefits to community & voluntary groups throughout County Monaghan:

  • A pool of focused & motivated volunteers at no cost to the group
  • Support with developing a volunteer policy
  • Assistance with any volunteer issues
  • Opportunities to participate in volunteering related training

How the Volunteer Bureau works
Prospective volunteers and groups which require volunteers can register with the Volunteer Bureau by completing a one page registration form. The completed form is returned to the Volunteer Bureau Development Officer and a meeting is arranged with the Development Officer and the volunteer or group (or representative). Based on this meeting and the information on the registration form, volunteers will be matched with groups where their skills are needed or where the group’s activities match the volunteer’s interests.
