The Community Foundation for Ireland's Small Grants Scheme (2009)

The Community Foundation makes grants to not-for-profit and voluntary groups working in communities throughout the Republic of Ireland. The Community Foundation will favour projects leading to the social inclusion of people and communities who are excluded by reason of geography, race, age, disability, family circumstances, poverty, gender or race.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and assessed three times per year. Next Closing Dates: 27th February 2009.

Ray Murphy Fund for leadership education and training 2009

The Ray Murphy Fund – managed by the Community Foundation for Ireland - will make grants to build leadership within the community sector for the next 10 years, 2008 - 2017.

The grants will be for a maximum of euro 4,000 each and 5 grants will be awarded per year. The fund is envisaged to assist people managing organizations within the community and voluntary sector access leadership - education or training.

EU Funding for Joint Initiatives between Community & Voluntary Organisations across Europe

Are you interested in developing joint projects or events with community and voluntary organisations working in a similar field in other European countries? If so, then the 'Europe for Citizens' Programme could be just what you are looking for!

To be eligible, the applicant must be a non-profit-making organisation with a legal status and legal personality. This includes non-governmental organisations, platforms, networks, associations and federations, think tanks, trade unions, educational institutions, religious organisations, organisations active in the field of voluntary work and amateur sport, etc.

Each project must include at least 2 organisations from at least 2 different European countries. However, the more countries involved the better.

The deadline for submission of applications for 2009 is 13 March 2009. The National Contact Point for Irish applicants submitting proposals for funding under the Europe for Citizens programme is based in the IPA in Dublin. The contact point can provide free advice and assistance to applicants preparing an application.

Social Entrepreneurs Ireland 2009 Awards Programme

The Awards programme provides a range of direct supports to help social entrepreneurs to get their idea off the ground or to grow and develop an idea which has passed the start-up stage and is now poised to have real social impact.

Level 1 Awards are suitable for applicants who are at the early stages of development of their project, typically at proof-of-concept/pilot stage.

Level 2 Awards are suitable for applicants who have already developed a proven model and who are looking to significantly grow the scale and impact of their project.

Artist in the Community Grants Scheme 2009

Twice yearly, the Arts Council offers grants to enable artists and communities of place or interest to work together on projects. The scheme covers all art forms. The Artist in the Community Scheme is managed by Create, the national development agency for collaborative arts, providing services for arts development and collaborative arts practice in Ireland.
